Bows

A hairbow is always fun to finish off a braid with. But it's even more fun to use your own hair to make a bow!

To use your own hair to make a bow, there's two different techniques. One technique uses an elastic to make the loops of the bow, the other technique uses a hair pin to make the loops.

On my YouTube channel I'm explaining in the tutorial Prim's bow braid how to do a hair bow with a hair pin. The braid in the photo has been done using the same technique. First I've done a round 3D braid and after that I've done the bows with the help of a hair pin.

Advice: don't do this braid on a child that's going to play or do sports. It's a beautiful braid, but unfortunately it's doesn't hold that well when you're moving around!
