Een tijdje terug gaf ik een aantal tips voor het gebruik van elastiekjes in vlechten. Met die elastiekjes kun je echter ook leuke creaties maken!
Wie de vlechtwereld een beetje kent, zal vast en zeker foto's gezien hebben van met name feestkapsels, waarbij elastiekjes gebruikt worden om bijvoorbeeld een kerstboom in het haar te maken of een Halloweensnoepje.
Voor iets oudere kinderen of volwassenen zijn er echter ook elastiekjes vlechten: de 'doorhaal'vlecht, waarbij je elastiekjes gebruikt om een kapsel te maken dat lijkt op de gewone vlecht. Hieronder twee foto's van deze doorhaalvlecht: een gewone doorhaalvlecht op de eerste foto en een drie plukken doorhaalvlecht op de tweede foto.
Het voordeel van doorhaalvlechten is dat ze heel goed blijven zitten. Het nadeel (vind ik) is dat het tijd kan kosten om de elastiekjes er weer uit te halen.

A while ago I posted an article with tips for the use of elastics in braids. But those elastics can create fun creations as well!
Those of you who know the braiding world a little, will definitely have seen photos of mostly holiday creations, where elastics are being used to create a Christmas tree for example or a Halloween candy corn.
For children a little older or grown ups there are elastics braids as well: the pull through braid, where you'll use elastics to create a style that looks like a regular braid. Above two photos of the pull through braid: a regular pull through braid in the first photo and a three strand pull through braid in the second.
The advantage of pull through braids is that they stay in really well, the down side (for me) is that it can take a lot of time to take the elastics out again.
