Hairstyles that go with a hat

Last week the temperatures dropped here in the Netherlands. Time for warm scarfs, gloves... and hats! Hats can be fun, but not all hairstyles are suitable to wear under a hat. Buns and ponytails don't work at all. I think side braids are the easiest... and most fun for under a hat.

Of course you go for a regular, simple side braid. If you'd like a little different braid, you could do a 4, 5 or 6 strand braid or a fishtail. But there's many more possibilities!

The hairstyle in the photo for example is actually a regular 5 strand braid. I've chosen to use the 5 strand ribbon technique (left under - over - under and then right under - over - under instead of left under - over; right under - over like in a regular 5 strand braid). Instead of ribbons I've used micro braids.

Enough possibilities again for fun braids that can be used when wearing a hat, but if I have to be honest, I'd say: bring on the summer!
