You'll need:
Two small elastics
How to do this hairstyle?
- Part the hair just off centre.
- Take a small strand of hair from the side with the most hair and divide this into three.
- Cross the left strand (the strand closest to the part) over the middle one and then cross the right strand over the middle one.
- Take a small strand of hair on the left side. Cross this under the braid and drop it. You're not adding in the strand to the hair you're braiding with!
- Now cross the left strand over the middle one again.
- Add some hair to the right strand, like you're doing a lace braid. Take this hair from under the braid. Make sure not to take the strand you've dropped. Then cross the right strand over the middle one.
- Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 until you've reached the other ear. Then do a regular 3 strand braid until the end of the hair and finish off with a small elastic.
- Now take a new strand of hair below the first braid and divide it into three. Do a French braid with this, but: the hair you're adding to the left strand (the top strand), is the hair you've dropped from your first braid! Make sure the hair you're adding in to the right strand (the bottom strand) isn't from the dropped strands!
- Continue braiding until you've added in all of the loose hair. The last strand you're adding in, is the first braid.
- Now do a regular 3 strand braid until the end of the hair and finish off with a small elastic.
