* in a pull through braid you'll divide the top ponytail into two strands (A en B) and you'll pull the bottom ponytail as one (1) strand through (which means you'll get A 1 B);
* in a pull through braid with three strands you'll divide the top ponytail into three strands (A, B en C) and the bottom ponytail into two (1 en 2). You'll pull these two strands in between the three strands from the first ponytail (which means you'll get A 1 B 2 C);
* in a pull through braid with four strands you'll divide the top ponytail into four strands (A, B, C en D) and the bottom ponytail into three (1, 2 en 3). You'll pull these three strands in between the four strands from the first ponytail (which means you'll get A 1 B 2 C 3 D);
* in een doorhaalvlecht met acht plukken verdeel je het bovenste staartje in eight strands (A, B, C, D, E, F, G en H) and the bottom ponytail into seven (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 en 7). You'll pull these seven strands in between the eight strands from the first ponytail (which means you'll get A 1 B 2 C 3 D 4 E 5 F 6 G 7 H);
* and so on.
The top ponytail should always have 1 more strand than the bottom ponytail!
